FIGHT CARD ENTERTAINMENT Q & A
Some people are born with fighting in their DNA, such is the case for ‘Prince’ Angelo Rivera Jr. He stepped away from the fight game for a few years, but he is back now and better than ever. Angelo makes the walk to the Fight Card cage in his last amateur fight on September 1st, and he plans on doing it in spectacular fashion.
Q: How long have you been training/fighting in total?
A: “I have been training since the age of five, so over 19 years now.”
Q: You took some time off from fighting, why did you ultimately decide to come back to the fight game?
A: “I decided to come back to finish what I started and follow through on what I dreamed about since I was a kid, that is, becoming a world champion at the pro level.”
Q: Who have been your biggest influences both personally and professionally?
A: “My biggest influences personally are my parents, my dad because he grinds no matter what, and when he is focused, nothing can stop him. My mom because the way she cares for everyone, she is always willing to go above and beyond to help others. Professionally it’s a mixture of mentors, too many to name. But everyone who has played a role in my success, thank you.”
Q: What kind of work do you to outside of training?
A: “Well, as far as work goes I do security. As far as my fortune goes, I do network marketing.”
Q: If you were stuck on an island and you could only bring 1 type of food and 1 music artist, what would you bring?
A: “That’s a hard question, I would probably choose some type of Puerto Rican homemade dish, now as for which dish I don’t know, lol. As for music, I would say Drake. I would just grab one of his albums.”
Q: What’s the best advice you ever received?
A: “The best advice I have been given thus far is, if someone is living the exact life you want to be living, do exactly what they did to get there. If they aren’t living the life you want to live, don’t listen to them.”
Q: If you had 1 million dollars, what would be the first thing you did?
A: “When I become a millionaire one of the first things I am going to do is reinvest, so my money will continue to grow without me having to lift my head off my pillow.”
Q: How does your fight end on September 1st?
A: “My fight will end with my hand raised as the new champion. How I win, well, there is only one way to find out. Come to Fight Card Entertainments show on September 1st and show your support.”
