Q: Why did you decide to start training in mixed martial arts?
A: “I decided to start training in MMA because I wanted the experience, and I wanted to see how the training differed from my many years in Taekwondo. I just ended up falling in love with it.”
Q: How long have you been training to compete in MMA?
A: “I’ve been training Taekwondo for 14 years now, and for fighting a year.”
Q: What are your biggest motivators in life?
A: “Definitely my parents and younger brother.”
Q: What is your biggest fear?
A: “That’s a tough one, if anything my biggest fear would have to be the inability to grow as a fighter. I feel there is always room to grow and I would hate to feel like I couldn’t.”
Q: What is your favorite music?
A: “That depends on my mood, training wise it switches between rap and classic rock.”
Q: How would you describe your fighting style?
A: “It’s a mix of Taekwondo and wrestling.”
Q: If you could meet any fighter, who would it be?
A: “I would love to meet McGregor! I’ve just always loved his fighting style and I would love to learn a thing or two.”
Q: What is the funniest thing that has ever happened to you during training?
A: “Going one round with one of our fighters at the gym. A bunch of guys, and myself had just got done going a bunch of rounds but he wanted to go one more round, and I decided why not. I had just started training, and I was getting lit up, he throws a front round kick, I felt like I was seeing it in slow motion because I knew it was going to hurt bad. Well, he connected and I was like [that wasn’t to b..]. I drop to my knees in so much pain, I make my way to the bathroom and puke. It was hilarious.”
Q: How does your fight end on September 1st?
A: “I have some ideas on how I’d like to finish the fight, but that’s for me to know.”
