Devon Moton attended the last Fight Card Entertainment event, but he wasn’t competing on that night; instead he was there to support his coach who was fighting. On September 1st, the roles are reversed and Devon makes his first walk to the Fight Card cage with his coach by his side.

Q: When did you start training to compete in mixed martial arts?

A: “I started training for MMA when I was 17 years old.”

Q: Why did you decide to start training to compete?

A: “I fell in love with the sport after watching a few UFC and Strikeforce events, I decided this is what I want to do with my life.”

Q: Have you ever competed before?

A: “No, this will be my debut fight.”

Q: What is it about Fight Card Entertainment that makes you want to compete on this card?

A: “I was at the last event you (Fight Card) had, my coach was fighting, I liked the way the event was put on and it just felt like it was time for me to showcase my talents.”

Q: What motivates you to fight/compete?

A: “The will to be successful and to prove everyone wrong who has doubted me, or to anyone who will doubt me.”

Q: If you didn’t train to fight and compete, what would you be doing professionally?

A: “If I didn’t train and fight, I would be a car mechanic, cars are my second passion.”

Q: What kind of work do you currently do?

A: “I am currently a cook at Bravos Pizza & Italian restaurant.”

Q: Who inspires you to reach new heights?

A: “Jon ‘Bones’ Jones, because no matter what he’s going through in life, no matter who he is fighting in the cage, his determination to never give up is amazing.”
