Fight Card Entertainment – Takeover – Nov 19th
Q & A with Chris Bello
With the Holiday season right around the corner Chris Bello plans on giving himself an early Christmas present this year, a victory at Takeover 2017. Having worked out the wrinkles, Chris is ready to show everyone he is a real threat in the lightweight division. On November 19th he gets his chance.
Q: How long have you been training/fighting?
A: “I’ve been training since 2010, (on and off), I stopped for school and work a few times to put 100% effort into both.”
Q: Why did you decide to start fighting?
A: “I decided to start fighting after helping a few training partners of mine back in 2011 get ready for their fights. Just the excitement of getting ready, having something to train for, and showcasing your skills is something that lures me into the fighter’s life style.”
Q: What gym do you consider your home gym?
A: “I currently train out of Chicago MMA.”
Q: What do you do for work outside of training?
A: “For work I’m a personal trainer at Lifetime [Fitness] in Burr Ridge, Illinois.”
Q: If you didn’t spend your time training/fighting, what would you do?
A: “If I didn’t train/fight, Id train for general fitness and longevity. (I mean, I do already) Science is always uncovering new methods to push yourself and recover and staying at the forefront of that ensures that I’m able to change peoples lives for the better!”
Q: What is your favorite holiday?
A: “My favorite holiday is Christmas! As a kid it was always about the presents, spending hours playing my new video games. Now, as an adult its just comforting to have some time off to spend with the people that matter most.”
Q: How does your fight end on November 19th?
A: “My fight ends in my favor. I don’t know much about Julian, but I’ve been working on becoming so well rounded. My jiu jitsu is solid, my striking is precise and combined with my confidence, my IQ, and my athleticism, Julian is going to have a long night November 19th. My hand will be raised, there’s no doubt about that.”
