LYNCH VICTORIOUS; DEFEATS CRABBE IN 1ST ROUND

Lynch vs Crabbe8941.jpg

This quick but interesting fight was the last one for the night at Cross The Line. Despite the fact that certain fighters werent able to fight their original opponents, Fightcard was still able to adapt to the situation, which was out-of-their control- they worked with what they had and with cooperation of the fighters- were still able to put on a great show.

Dan Crabbe, a member of Team Red Branch, who went up in weight class fought Bill Lynch.

Both fighters were scheduled to fight different fighters and after things didn't work out- they each had the courage, balls and will to step into the cage and fight each other at a last moments notice.

Lynch, who trains with Jeff Neal's Jujitsu was originally expected to fight Carlus Moore, a member of the Rebels of Destruction. Crabbe was originally scheduled to fight Mike Bell, a member of Panda Grappling.

Crabbe last fought in December 2008, in St. Charles and was victorious in the 1st Round against Dail Cook.

Interview at Weigh-in's:

Crabbe:

“I was suppose to fight Tyrice but he has other things hes gotta take care of. Mike Bell was suppose to fight Mike Long but something went down with Mike Long and he cant fight and they called me last notice and asked me if I wanted bump up weight classes. So I said, yeah, I’ll fight anybody, I’ll take it on,” said Crabbe.

Crabbe said that he though Bell was a good fighter who has skills, but he said he felt prepared.

Training:

"It’s still the same just more explosive, my cardio is extremely good right now, I feel good, I’m healthy – its just going to be a really good show. See, this is what I do. I’m going to get in that ring and go for the win. If he’s going to leave anything open, I’m going to take it, whether it be a KO, submission or a choke, if its there, its going to happen. I’m pretty good at everything. I have great conditioning, so unless he catches me off guard, he aint going to get anything," said Crabbe.

Plans After Cross The Line:

"The next fight Im hoping is going to be a title shot at 135, that’s what I’ve worked for and that’s where I’m at. Depending on how I do with Bell, obviously if I beat Bell at his weigh class, which is 145, maybe I’ll jump up and get that belt too, who knows," said Crabbe.

At Cross The Line:

Crabbe and Lynch accepted to fight each other the day of the event. The fight was quick and ended in the 1st Round. The 1st Round didn't make it to 3 minutes, as Crabbe tried to fight back- Lynch mounted Crabbe's back and started landing numerous, non-stop strikes. Soon after- the Ref. stopped the fight.

Interviews After The Fight:

Lynch:

"I feel awesome, I knew he was a real tough guy, but it was a last minute switch," said Lynch.

Toughest challenge:

"His (Crabbes) wrestling and his aggression, I had time to get on my phone and watch some of his fights, he really pushes the pace. I didn’t expect it to end like this, I actually expected this to be a decision, I really did," said Lynch.

Future For Lynch:

"Unsure at the moment but if I ever fight again, it’ll definitely be with Fightcard. I'll just take it day by day see where I’m at and go from there and I just want to thank FCE," said Lynch.

Although Crabbe said that Lynch is a great fighter, he said that when Lynch got the mount- that he (Lynch) kept hitting him in the back of the head, over and over again and feels he (Crabbe) feels not enough was done about it.

Crabbe:

"You warned him once and then he hit me like 10 more times, right after that and they didn’t say a word to him. I think it was a fair fight, but I just think they need to watch more for the back of the head hits. Way too many times without them saying anything," said Crabbe.

Crabbe's Toughest Challenge:

"He just weighed a lot more than me, there is no way he weighed 152 lbs. I think he (Lynch) weighed at least 160 lbs.," said Crabbe.

Futre For Crabbe:

"Just keep training but actually fight at my weight class rather than bumping it up a weight class. I will come back in April, but at 135 lbs.," said Crabbe.

Crabbe said that his next goal is a 135 lb. title shot.
