STATE OF ILLINOIS CANCELS ALL MMA SHOWS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, "CROSS THE LINE" POST-PONED TO FEB. 26TH

In the last week, the MMA community had a shock from the State of Illinois as they cancelled all MMA events until further notice putting fighters, coaches and promoters at a stand-still.  With the state regulating MMA events in IL since last May, MMA events have been working through changes in rules and regulations to meet state requirements.  The recent announcement has to do with Santioning Bodies that must be approved with the State before any shows go on.  In the month of January alone, six total MMA events have been ordered to shut down.

Although FCE's upcoming event CROSS THE LINE scheduled for FEbruary 5th has not been rejected by the State, FCE did not want to take the chance.  "The state is meeting on February 3rd to approve all Sanctioning Bodies but because (CROSS THE LINE) is two days after, we don't want to have these fighters expecting to fight and cancel literally the day before if things don't get resolved.  (FCE) is moving the event to February 26th and still plan on having a great event." co-owner Brian Angelo.

All tickets from the Febraury 5th will be honored at February 26th event at Joe's Bar.
