NO MERCY 2008 is already looking like it will be a huge event with veteran fighters and newcomers finally able to display the best in MMA action on the grandest stage of them all this October 4th. With Jose Maldonado Vs. Enrique Arroyo as one of the the headlining events, FCE announced today that FCE Lightweight Champion Guillermo Serment Vs. No. 1 contender Laquinn Swift will be added to the Mega Event match ups scheduled in front of an audience of 4000 spectators.

"I, for one, am excited to come back to Indiana and do it big. First time was just a testing ground for us, to find out all the problems before we break ground but now, Fight Card Entertainment will invade Indiana and put on the biggest MMA show that Indiana has seen.  Maldonado is undefeated in MMA now going up against his hardest test in Enrique Arroyo, which is a huge standout in the 170lb division. On top of that, you put the champ Guillermo Serment on the card, it's going to be a night of exciting fights. I can't wait." co-owner Brian Angelo

FCE Champ Guillermo Serment wanted to fight whoever was next in line for the title but coming of the 8 man tournament, Serment cleaned out the division beating the top guys in the Lightweight division.  Co-owner and matchmaker Nilo Soto brought in the one talent that is a true challenge for the champion, Laquinn Swift.

Swift is known to be great in the cage but has outside antics.  Swift, although undefeated with FCE, fought on another show in February where it was ruled as a no contest when Swift furiously rushed his opponent after getting illegally kneed to the head while on the ground. "I'm not too happy with the turn of events for Laquinn outside of the cage. Do I think Laquinn is a tough fighter? Yes. but here's a guy with all this talent and making stupid mistakes, he's hotheaded but he's training under a different camp and supposedly a completely different fighter now." co-owner Brian Angel.  Laquinn solidified his spot as the #1 contender when he beat Harold Robinson last Friday.

Guillermo Serment was immediately contacted for the next fight for his first title defense in October.  Serment said he didn't know much about Laquinn but as a true champion finished with "Let's do it. I was thinking Julian Collins was next in line because of his win against Decarlo Johnson last December but this is good, too." Tickets are availabe online or Call (773)745-1112
