At Final Conflict, Tony Ortiz, a fighter with Team OneTen defeated Julian Collins a fighter with Team No Comment. In 1:38 of Round 2 Ortiz defeated Collins by Knock Out due to a Flying Knee.

Performance

“I feel great. I was a little worried going into the fight because Julian is experienced, hes had over 22 fights, and this was only my eighth fight,” said Ortiz.

Ortiz said that the weight cut was hard for him and was worried about gassing out.

“I threw a couple knees in the first round and I felt them. I was trying to get my wind back. It started going really good. I got comfortable with my hands. He started putting his hands down and I saw the opportunity for the flying knee, so I took it,” said Ortiz.

Groin Shots

“First and foremost, no offense to Team No Comment but I think it was part of a strategy. The first knee, it could’ve been but the second knee, if anybody throws knees, they know where they land and that second knee, it wasn’t even close to the groin. I want to say it was strategy to win the fight but I trained harder than he did, I want to go Pro, so I got the victory,” said Ortiz.

Flying Knee Knock Out

“Knees are my game plan. I’ve got over three wins off of knees. This time I just saw the knee there and I took it. His hands were down and he leaned forward and I just took the knee and his chin was right there,” said Ortiz.

Future

“I want to take two more fights, well, depending on what happens tonight between Jason or Hector. I’m rooting for Hector, Jason is a chump, I’ve beat him before, I’m trying to take that gold for Fight Card at 155 lbs.  I want to drop down to 145 lbs after that, then take one more fight and then its Pro for me,” said Ortiz.

Final Thoughts

“I want to thank everyone at Plato’s Closet for sponsoring me, my team, my coaches Franco, Enrique, Matt and everybody that helps me out. My family for always being there and to my fans for always being at my fights,” said Ortiz.
