Trevor Rose from Team Joliet was victorious in his FCE debut as he defeated Christian Sanchez by Split Decision.
Performance
When asked if the fight was what he expected, Rose said, “Yes, the fight did go the way I expected. I kind of slacked with my corner men with the water breaks, I was a little winded but I kept my own. I feel I did pretty good.”
“He got me with a good couple leg kicks and I thought he had me in the arm bar but after I picked him up and slammed him, it was game time from there,” said Rose.
Fight Control
When asked if he felt in control of the fight, Rose said, “Oh, I felt in dominant position at all times. I was ready. I would’ve felt a little bit better if he was at my weight because I may have had a little bit of an easier time with him but at the end of the day, his weight difference didn’t mean nothing to me. I had him and I banged him out like I wanted to. I’m good.”
Rose said he plans to fight again. “Next time, it’s going to be a knock out in the first round,” ended Rose.
Fellow Teammate Josh Pemble Comments on Trevor Rose’ Victory
“This is my guy Trevor Rose. I doubted him but now we are Team Joliet. We are 2-0 and we’re coming to the top. We are ready and we’ll fight anybody. I doubted Trevor and he won. Everybody doubted me but I would’ve won. If my fighter would’ve fought, we would’ve been 3-0. Team Joliet. Go Trevor!,” said Pemble.
When asked why he didn’t fight, Pemble said, “My opponent and I weighed in last night and then he came up to me today and he said, ‘My tooth hurts and we can’t fight’. So I was really mad but next time, fans will see Josh with Team Joliet. Whomever comes to my plate is going to get crushed. So step up.”
