Garcia Wants A Title Shot

At No Mercy and for the first time, Ivan Garcia, a member of Team OneTen fought at 185 lbs. against Kendall Gunn.

Garcia was successful at defeating Gunn by Submission in 1:35 of Round 2, and said  he thinks he did a great job, especially coming from 205 lbs.

Knowing that Gunn was taller and that he would use his reach adavantage, Garcia said, ”I was trying to stay in the pocket but he caught me a few times. But I know that on that exit, I rocked him. I then took the fight where it needed to go. He gave me the ground game, so I took it.”

Acknowledging that there are always things to improve on, Garcia said he still feels good about his performance. ”I’m coming back for that belt, Mitch Nix or Andrew Navickis, I don’t care. He’s (Navickis) been wanting a rematch, I told him that if he wins that belt, he gets his rematch.”

When asked why he didn’t fight Navickis again in a rematch, Garcia said, “I already beat him, the judges saw it my way and I saw it my way. There’s no reason to fight someone I already beat.”

Garcia said he deserves a title shot because he previously turned title shots down, just so he can better himself. Now, Garcia said that he is better and that he now wants a title shot.

“I want to thank my supporters, family, friends and everybody that came out, FCE and Brian Angelo…I’m waiting for that belt,” ended Garcia.

That rematch needs to happen, belt or not. Fighters are only as great as their greatest fights. Everyone knows the judges don’t get it right all the time, Nilo settle the score: Navickis vs Garcia 2.

First of all ivan garcia isn’t undefeated, 2nd this guy hasn’t fought anyone with a decent skill set andrew navicis beat him he just got the hometown decision. You’ve had one game opponnent in your 5 or 6 fights. Once he steps in front of mitch nix his true colors will be exposed. You heard it here first ladies n gentlemen “mitch nix is going destroy ivan ” the bum fighter” garcia. Take a real fight mamas boy

I somewhat agree yo daddy but hIvan has had a couple of difficult fights, well at least the other fighter had a legitimate chance to win. Like Too Tan stated where you train makes no difference how you train does. The only way to guarantee a win, is to not allow the judges the chance to be impartial. @David Kendall was good for this fight but it shouldn’t have happen for a couple of reasons, starting with Garcia’s expierience and ending with the weigh in

that was Kendall’s first fight. Everyone knows Team 110 trains at Brian angelo’s gym. That why Navickis will never get a fair shake.

Yea but that was also the team challenge match ups. No one told road house to put uo new fighters. No comment has a very experienced team but also put the young hungry kids out front to represent them. Team one10 and team no.comment will now meet. Are you guys suggesting team no comment is not a reputable Gym? If what Ivan is saying is true then it shouldve served as motivation. Ivan is saying he wants a shot at Nix. Doesn’t sound like he’s scared or ducking any competition to me. I am a fight card fan and see it from outside the gym. Sounds like you guys are affiliated with a gym and are a bit bias. Navikis vs Ivan 2 would be good but i feel that with Ivan winning their first fight he should fight nix first. Lets see Navikis vs potopenko and the winner will fight the winner.of Ivan and Nix. Just a thought.

First off I’m a fan of the fights and I’ve been watchen fce for a long time I think Ivan garcias best fight was quadris little and towards the remark off team 110 training at brians gym so fucken what if you knew Brian he doesn’t mix bussiness with friendship his all about the fighters and being fair. That’s was just a dumb comment and that guy Rudy bahena fought one of The top fighters in fce Richard dey that doesn’t sound like an easy fight and now there fighting no comment in the team challenge which no comment is a bunch if badasses too not to mention they hold 2 fce belts so were you train at has nothing to do with getting easy fights I think somebody is a hater lol. After Ivan gets a title shot and when he wins it and navicks gets bck in the top five I’m shure Ivan Garcia will fight him if Andrew deserves a shot you can’t lose two fights in a row and in fce and start naming who you want to fight lol. It’s all about making it pro y you going to chase an amtuter lose lame forget it.
