If anyone believes that MMA is just for fighting, main event Heavyweight, Maurice “The Pirate” Greene, will tell you wrong.  Greene originally got into MMA to lose weight from 330lbs to get in shape, he will tell you MMA is also for fitness.  Greene started his own MMA clothing line and found a new love in MMA,   “With the sudden growth in MMA my buddy was training and he told me to just
sign up.  I went a couple of times and really enjoyed the sport.  To getmy clothing line out and on the right track I said why don’t I fight andgrow with my clothing line and I started loving what I do.  Now it’s a passion because I will be the UFC Heavyweight Champion someday.  I’m a Diamond in the rough dust me off and let me shine.”

Fighting on smaller shows, Greene made an impact FIGHTCARD debut last February against Jason Miller.  A calculating fighter, the “Pirate” came of a TKO stoppage and caused a rumble in the Heavyweight division.  “I saw the fight live but when I watched it weeks later online, (Maurice) is a clean fighter, makes it look good. He’s ready” FIGHTCARD fighter Franco Martinez states at Sun Times photo shoot.  “Every Fight is important to me I feel like the fight is my reward for all that hard training and time I put in.  With more fights, comes experience so every fight is like a championship fight in my head.” Greene states.  And the fans want to see a title match happen.  With current Heavyweight Champion Jeff Burdorf’s scheduling problems, ”Big Jeff” has only fought twice in the last 2 years.  ”The heavyweight division is a roller coaster ride, that’s why it’s so exciting.   We have been in talk for months with (Burdorf’s) management and coaches, we have come to an agreement and should be announcing it very soon.” Brian Angelo responds to title in question.

Although the 6’7″  heavyweight can’t be missed, co-owner Brian Angelo says don’t count Moore out. “This is MMA, anything can happen.  Greene is on high coming of an impressive win and Moore is hungry, patiently waiting for the right time to explode. That happens now, that happens Saturday night.”   Greene has trained very hard for this fight and expects Jeremy Moore to do the same, “Well, the FIGHT CARD fans can expect a better performance than my last because I am always improving and getting better.  Got a couple of new things I have added to my game for this fight.  I’m not to talk shit so its going to be a good fight I might Jon Jones him… ”.
